Oh goodness! An update! I do hope you continue working on this project. Perhaps find some way to make it easier, as you mention it's difficult? Split the map into chunks maybe?

I don't know. It's very hard to edit because the map is so large. I made starting level for Witch Tower 2 where you would you play the apprentice in smaller and more linear level.
is there a way to get all 15 witches? and is there a way to get the broomstick witch?
I'm not sure about the all 15. Broomstick cannot be dealt with yet.
It's above the starting position. You have to jump left from the tower and fall to it.

Can you not make this a downloadable game? Playing games in the browser is SOO annoying and buggy. I cant even swap tabs or open anything on my PC without it breaking this game. By that, i mean cant interact with things, touching ladders forces you to go up and cannot go down. Absolutely hate Itch browser games

It was not rude. I didnt test it much on itch.io, seems to run pretty bad for me too.

is the downloadable one a different version? I didnt find any traps on the first few playthroughs. Also i noticed when you get 6 or 7 students found, you can go to the end "boss" and glitch the door, but you get a large red bar stuck in the middle of your screen

What does holding down do? And how do you deal with the student with the flying broom?
Holding down is shield against projectiles but it isn't fully implemented. Defeating flying broom is likely impossible at the moment.
Is there anywhere to find the passwords for this game? Do they act as cheat codes?
They are cheat codes. Currently none exists.

The Purple key seems to be glitched. It does not work at the moment.
I understand, thanks for telling me and I must also admit that it makes me very nostalgic since I played these styles of games. And I have a few last questions, is it possible to defeat the two witches on a broomstick? If so, could you tell me or give me some advice on how to overcome them?
The purple key now works. I hid it on the opposing balcony on the left, you have to do blind jump there. I think the broomstick witch is too glitchy to be defeated at the moment. But I'm not sure. It has been years since I worked on them last time.
